This book consists of units, each of which addresses a key concern in personal development, from self-knowledge to discovering your inner strength, developing relationships, exploring your external environment, and finally, making career directions. Aligned with the DepEd Curriculum Guide, personal development entails the understanding of one’s physical, cognitive, social, emotional, moral and spiritual development in order to gain insights into one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, which could lead to making conscious decisions to become a better person. Using the experiential learning approach, i.e. learning through first-hand experience, each unit invites students to explore specific themes in their development. The recommended activities, which include personal reflections and sharing, will help students tremendously in understanding the relevant concepts and theories in Psychology discussed.
